Installation of Plug-Ins
  1. Download the desired plug-in to your hard disk and extract the downloaded ZIP file with a ZIP tool of your preference. Please put the files in the directory poseidon/lib. (For the GoVisual plug-in, extract the files to poseidon/lib/ext.) Each ZIP file contains one or more JAR archives. If you have purchased a plug-in, you have received a key for this plug-in via e-mail.
  2. Add the key to Poseidon's list of known keys. You do this by opening Help - License Manager in Poseidon, copying the license key into the text area and pressing the button 'Add'. If this key is valid, it will appear in the list of keys in the license manager. Now you can close the license manager.
  3. Add the plug-in to Poseidon's list of known plug-ins. You do this by opening Plug-Ins - Plug-Ins in Poseidon. In the Plug-Ins window, choose Add Plug-In from file and select the jar that was in the ZIP file.
If the key was installed in the last step, the plug-in will be enabled; otherwise, you will see a notification that there is no key for this plug-in.

Is the plug-in running?

If the installation was successful, you will see the name of the plug-in in the Plug-Ins window. When you select a plug-in, more information on the selected plug-in is shown; the first value, enabled, is set to true if the plug-in is running.

You will see the message 'No valid license for ...' if the key to the plug-in is not available. In this case, check if a key for the plug-in is shown in the Registration dialog (Help - License Manager), and add one if necessary.
