In Poseidon 5.0, Deployment Diagrams are UML 2.0 diagrams. According to the UML 2 specification, it is illegal to deploy a Component onto a Node by embedding (nesting) a Component inside a Node. Only Nodes and Artifacts may be embedded in Nodes. Quite different to UML 1.4, you now need to use Manifestations, Deployments and Artifacts to deploy a Component onto a Node.
