The Gentleware FAQ is a comprehensive list of questions regarding Poseidon for UML. At this time, third-party plug-ins and products are not covered in this FAQ but we plan to add them in the future. Further information is available from the Poseidon documentation or you can post to our forum.

  1. My Community Edition license has expired. Now what do I do?

  15. Where do I register my Concurrent Licenses?

    All concurrent licenses must be registered using the manageFloatingLicenses script (for version 2.5 and earlier) or manageConcurrentLicenses script (for version 2.6 and later), located in the bin directory of the Concurrent License Server installation. The Installation Guide covers this in greater detail.

    It is important to note that it is possible to enter the Serial Number and go through the registration process using Poseidon client application License Manager, which will then show the concurrent license with a valid status. This process will not register the license, and you will not be able to use Poseidon for UML. Please refer to the email that came with the Serial Number or the Installation Guide for information on how to properly register your copy of Poseidon for UML.
