  1. My Community Edition license has expired. Now what do I do?

  3. What is a serial number / evaluation key / license key?

    Evaluation Key

    Provided when an evaluation copy of a Premium Edition is requested from the website. These keys place a time-limit and functionality-limit on the application usage.

    Serial Number

    Provided automatically for the Community Edition, sent via email for purchased copies of Premium Editions. The Serial Number is a unique identifier and is used to register the user with the specific copy of the application in order to receive the License Key.

    License Key

    Provided for the Community Edition and purchased copies of Premium Editions. These keys are made available after the registration data has been received by Gentleware. Once a License Key is in place, the registration process is complete. These keys need no further attention, unless the copy is moved to another machine or is upgraded to another version.

    When you purchase Poseidon or a plugin, you receive a Serial Number, which must be added to Poseidon via the License Manager. Once the Serial Number is registered, you will receive a License Key, enabling you to use all of the features of your Edition of Poseidon.

    Serial numbers are included in downloads of the Community Edition and do not need to be manually added through the License Manager. They do, however, need to be registered in order to receive the License Key.
