  17. The Enterprise Edition evaluation key is expired or for the wrong edition.

    The cause of this is that the serial number is only intended for use with the concurrent license server. This server will be installed if you choose the Enterprise Edition server installation from the installer application. Here is a step by step description how to use the evaluation keys:

    1. Download the software from (Please use JDK/JRE Version 1.4, or use the installers that include a JRE)

    2. Start the Installer, and choose the SERVER installation.

    3. Please use the command line of your operating system. Change the current directory to the installation directory of your Enterprise Edition Server.

    4. Start the 'manageConcurrentLicenses' script in the 'bin' folder.
    E.g. (Windows): binmanageConcurrentLicenses.bat
    (Unix): bin/

    5. Paste the SERVER license key of the evaulation mail into the command line window when asked and enter your user information.

    6. Start the command line tool again, and paste the CLIENT license key.

    7. Start the Installer, and choose the CLIENT installation.

    8. Start the Enterprise Edition SERVER by running the 'startCollaborationServer' script in the 'bin' folder of the Enterprise Edition SERVER installation. You will not be asked for a license.

    9. Start the Enterprise Edition CLIENT. Check that the server name is set to 'localhost' and the port to '6262'. Hit 'Connect' and then 'Start Poseidon'.
